All Office of Research web application users must be a registered 'research user' and have an active lastname.#.

Register as a research user

• go to the registration form located at http://go.osu.edu/orregister
• fill out the form
• you are now a registered research user

Troubleshooting

If you are employed or enrolled at the university with a lastname.# and are unable to access the research user registration form.

• contact your Human Resources (HR) department to verify employment or enrollment status
• if an HR error is found and remedied, the information will get updated in the Research User registration system on the following Friday
  • attempt to register as a research user following the steps above
• if no HR error is found, contact orhelpdesk@osu.edu for further assistance

If you do not have a lastname.#.

• obtain a sponsored guest account through the Office of the Chief Information Officer with their sponsored guest account request form (click on the Request tab for instructions).
• attempt to register as a research user following the steps above
