OSU password reset during Work from Home

During the telework initiative, your OSU password may expire or be close to expiring. This will interfere with how you can connect to the Office of Research. This article will give you steps to help minimize interruptions.

Steps using Office of Research laptops:

After changing your password at my.osu.edu.

You may need to use your old password to log into your laptop.

Use your new password to log into the OR VPN (Global Protect).

Once connected, you will be prompted to lock your laptop and log back in. Completing the log in will update your password on your laptop.

 

Steps using Remote Desktop via personal equipment:

After changing your password at my.osu.edu.

Use your new password to log into the OR VPN (Global Protect)

Use your new password to log into your work desktop.
